Punditry Boot Camp

April 11, 2012

For war veterans returning from service, transitioning back to civilian life is no easy task.

Addressing the issue of veteran unemployment, Stephen lends a hand to former U.S. Marine Bryan Escobedo by enrolling him in "Punditry Boot Camp," an in-studio training session on how to become a powerful political pundit -- just like Stephen. The rigorous course covered everything from proper facial expressions to physical conditioning. Who knew becoming a pundit was such hard work?

Watch as Stephen shows Escobedo the ins and outs of broadcast punditry, which includes plenty of silent nodding, showing confidence even when feeling uninformed, and being an expert on every topic. Snatching microphones away and looking dapper in a suit and tie are also essential to a punditry career.

For a behind-the-scenes account of his boot camp experience, read Escobedo's "Vantage Point" blog post.
