The Intrepid Sea, Air & Space Museum

Stephen knew he needed to find a perfect location to host StePhest Colbchella '012: Rocktaugustfest. New York's deep Naval history soon led him to the most obvious place -- the U.S.S. Intrepid, docked alongside Manhattan's West Side Highway.

Built in 1943, the Intrepid helped the United States win World War II, the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. (Some people say we lost Vietnam, but the Intrepid is just waiting for the right moment to go back and kick some ass.)

To learn more about the Intrepid's rich history, Stephen sat down with ship historian and curator Jessica Williams. Check out the video below to watch their interview, and to tour the ship with Stephen and actual veteran Marino Dileo.

What exactly DID it take to turn the U.S.S. Intrepid into a concert venue? Check out the time-lapse video below to see how it was set up for the Colbchella stage.
